The Newspaper Kite

This is how to make a newspaper kite. Before you start read the instructions. Then get supplies: newspaper, packing tape, string, 3 dowels, scissors, sharp knife or punch, and a meter stick.
First tape 2 newspapers together. Then measure and draw lines. Then cut on the lines. Next tape the edges where you cut. After that put tape down the center, across the middle, and two on each side so it will be strong. Next tape 3 dowels on the kite--1 across the middle and 2 down each side. After that cut 2 strings 1.5 meters each. Then punch 2 holes at the bottom corners and 2 holes at the side corners. Now tie the string into loops through the holes and tie the loops together. Next tie the flying string to the loops.
Safety rules: Don’t fly by trees! Don’t fly during rain and storms!
When it is a really windy and sunny day, go outside where there is lots of space. Last fly your kite and have fun!

The Sled Kite

I will tell you how to make a sled kite. First you have to read the directions and then make a list of supplies. You need dowels, gift wrap or plastic kitchen garbage bag, bendable straws, string, packing tape, scissors, permanent marker, and a yard stick. Check to see if you have everything on your list and then you make the kite.
First mesure 18” from top to bottom. Then 13 3/4” from botom to center and 9” in from side to middle. Draw straight lines down the center & across the middle. Reinforce the center with tape and cut an X there. Mark 1” lines centered at each corner. Then draw lines to connect. You have a diamond shape. Now cut the plastic bag in the shape of a the diamond. After that decorate the kite with permanent marker. Cut the straw into 4 parts and tape them to the corner for support. Then put the dowels in the straw posckets and tape down the dowels. Finally connect the line to the dowels through the X
When you fly your kite, keep it away from electric wires and on’t fly on stormy days.
Finally, go fly your kite!

Box Kite

This is how to make a box kite. First you read the directions and get supplies. large kitchen garbage bag, 4-36” dowels, 8 rubber bands, packing tape, yard stick, sharp knife or razor blade, and permanent markers.
After that lay the garbage bag on a flat surface. And then find the center of the bag in each direction. Fold it carefully in every way and crease it along the fold. Using a straightedge (yardstick) and knife cut the bag lengthwise along the center crease, so you have two double thickness pieces 12” high by
29 1/8” wide. Cutting through both layers, trim 1/4” off the closed long edge of each piece. Smooth out one of the pieces and find the center again by folding it in half top to bottom creasing the fold as before. Repeat for the other pieces. Then place a quarter piece over the center of the plastic where the creases cross. Cut carefully around the coin through both thickness of plastic; you might want to trace the coin first. Center the coin over the middle of each side edge of the piece and cut half-circles there too. These are the sails off your kite. Next, tape the sails (garbage bag) to the 4 longer dowels to make a rectangular prism. Make the shorter dowels in the shape of an X and connect to longer dowel with rubber bands. Tie the string where the dowels meet. If you want to decorate it use permanent marker. You can also tape on streamers. Tie the flying string on the edges.
Safety rules: Don’t fly in a storm. Don’t fly by electric poles. Tips: You need two people to fly it. Wear gloves and make sure your string is tied on tight! Have fun!

The Komodo Dragon by Quint

The body has dark scaly skin. It has black, brown or dark grey and big eyes. It also has a big mouth and strong jaws. The sprawling legs with five toed feet and sharp claws are cool. It is usually 10 feet long and weigh 550.

Tho Komodo Dragon is a carnivore it eats almost anything that it can catch or find including goats, deer and wild bears and other lizards and carrion. The Komodo has poison in its mouth when it poion the prey, it kills it within a day or two.

The komodo dragon is in danger of extinction due to loss of habitat. Hot grasslands, tropical forests, is where it lives.

The king of the lizards can swim well, climb trees and dig burrows. Females are smaller and it can run up to 11 mph.

Second, we got the stuff we needed.
Third we made the kite.
Last we flyed the kite but it wasn't windy enough.
