The Komodo Dragon by Quint
The body has dark scaly skin. It has black, brown or dark grey and big eyes. It also has a big mouth and strong jaws. The sprawling legs with five toed feet and sharp claws are cool. It is usually 10 feet long and weigh 550.
Tho Komodo Dragon is a carnivore it eats almost anything that it can catch or find including goats, deer and wild bears and other lizards and carrion. The Komodo has poison in its mouth when it poion the prey, it kills it within a day or two.
The komodo dragon is in danger of extinction due to loss of habitat. Hot grasslands, tropical forests, is where it lives.
The king of the lizards can swim well, climb trees and dig burrows. Females are smaller and it can run up to 11 mph.

Wow - I wouldn't want to come face to face with a Komodo Dragon - yikes! I didn't know they were so dangerous. You did a great job describing it for us.

Yikes! I don't think I would want to find a Komodo Dragon. I didn't know anything about them, thanks for giving me lots of information. I will share your blog with my son, he is in 4th grade and likes to draw snakes and dragons!
