I'll Show You How To Make A Bumblebee Kite

I’ll Show You How To Make A Bumblebee Kite by Alyson A.--2nd grade

Do you know how to make a Bumble bee kite? You don’t know? Well you found the right person. First you read the instructions. Next make a list of supplies: a stapler, sewing thread, construction paper or poster board, a paper punch, and packing tape. Then ask yourself if you have everything you need. Now choose a color of paper you want, but I chose yellow. After you choose your colored paper, you fold the paper in half the hamburger way. Then measure with a yardstick. Start at the number five then you end at number seven. Now mark the letter A under the number five, then mark letter B under number seven. After That you fold the top corners and staple at point A. Now you punch a hole through letter B. Then tie a line through hole B. Finally you made your kite. You can decorate it if you want to. Then you can fly your kite. Last don’t fly your kite on rainy days. Don’t fly your kite by electric wires. Have fun!

This site takes you to a PDF link for the plans for the bumblebee kite. Go here & then click on “Kites in the Classroom” to download the PDF. Then go to page 30 for the plans.

  • Alyson,
Wow! You did an awesome job telling how to make a kite. I know nothing about kite making so I will be checking out the site you recommended.
Maybe Colton and Shea will want to make a kite.
